meet THE FARM

Our company's primary production is olive oil. However, we also cultivate a variety of vegetables and natural fruits. In addition, we raise chickens and supply eggs to local organic markets. Our chickens live in a spacious fenced area and, from a young age, learn to sleep in trees; they are known as acrobatic chickens.

Guests have the opportunity to take a guided tour of the farm, following ancient routes and mule tracks that merge into a historic landscape largely unknown to tourists. Along the journey to the summit of Mount Spazzavento, visitors learn about the landscape, ancient land divisions, historic olive groves, and the customs and traditions of past generations. The tour also explores the hardships and resilience of men, women, children, and animals, as well as their joys, songs, and way of life. Through stories passed down through generations, historical texts, and a vast collection of books from the Barsanti family archives, guests gain insight into the evolution of local society from the Neolithic Age to the present.

The Barsanti family has been living here for unknown time. From the top of Mount Spazzavento, you can continue walking on the marked trails, discovering Etruscan artifacts, medieval fortresses and towers, churches, archaeological remains, caves, and much more.
